How we handle missing items, damage concerns, and condition disagreements.

Why Documentation Matters

The vast majority of disputes arise from poor documentation. This is why we heavily emphasize the use of our Handover Checklist. Taking timestamped before-and-after photos is your best protection.

Missing Accessories

Creator gear often involves small accessories like cables, SD cards, and lens caps. If an item is missing upon return, the owner and renter should refer to the initial handover inventory list to resolve the issue.

Damage Concerns

If an asset is returned damaged, the owner must document the damage immediately before the renter leaves (if possible). Security deposits may be applied to cover repairs or replacement.

Dispute Review Process

If the owner and renter cannot reach an agreement regarding a deposit deduction, our support team can intervene to manually review the evidence (photos and communication history).

What We Do Not Guarantee

While we facilitate coordination and mediation, The Rental Circle does not guarantee absolute damage recovery or provide blanket insurance payouts. Users accept these risks when participating in the peer-to-peer early access program.
